1. Where did you buy this card? Where else did you look?I bought this card from M&S store in the Ashly Centre in Epsom, I had a quick look in Clintons which is also in the Ashley Centre but I couldn't find what I wanted there so I made a special trip to M&S because I know they usually have what I'm looking for.
2. What was your experience like buying the card?
I found what I wanted quite quickly, I was in a rush but I had a very clear idea of what I wanted and I know the M&S card section quite well. They had changed some of the sections around but the birthday cards were still in the same place as last time.
3. who did you buy the card for and why did you choose this one in particular?
I bough this card for my mother-in-laws birthday, she loves flowers and gardening and I thought with it being April that tulips would make perfect sense. She is aslo very fond of tulips. It has a simple message inside, I prefer that because then I can write my own message. I'd actually have preferred it to have just said 'happy birthday' but I couldn't find this design with just that message.
4. What do you like and dislike about the card?
It's very simple, fresh and modern, I think it feels quite sophisticated and the writing is quite small rather than overpowering the image. Sometimes photographs an look quite boring but this one I thought was very beautiful.
I'm not so keen on the message inside although at least it's not too long. 'hope your day is wonderful' is a bit bland and insipid, I'd rather it say 'happy birthday'. I'm also not very keen on the black and white image in the bottom right corner. What's the point in it? The image on the back is nice though, fresh and modern, again and I like the word collection it makes it sound more special than any old random card.
